Shriekster is not meant to be the typical popular culture horror site. Those sites tend to focus soley on the business of horror entertainment in the form of literature, film, television and music. Those sites do what they do very well and we here at Shriekster enjoy them very much. We will also, as those other great sites do, include the latest news about Stephen King’s most recent novel or John Carpenter’s latest film as well as something more. We want to look deeper at things that go bump in the night as well as other various and sundry things from around the world that scare the shit out of folks, in particular our fears as a species of our own mortality, which is, we believe, the reason why such a thing as horror even exists in the world.
